Attack Rebound with 6-1 Win

Nov 25, 2012 - 11:29 EST

The Attack travelled to Mississauga on Sunday afternoon attempting to rebound from a lacklustre 3-0 loss on Saturday to the Knights.

Brandon Hope would get the call between the pipes for the Attack as they searched for yet another 4 out of 6 point weekend.

Daniel Catenacci got the  Attack on the board early giving the road team a 1-0 lead on  a wraparound. That would be the way the second period would start.

Head Coach Greg Ireland has been looking for secondary scoring and he got plenty of it during the second frame. Daniel Zweep, Kyle Hope, Kurtis Gabriel and Jaden Lindo ALL notched goals for the Attack in a breakout second period.

Mississauga would be able to find one on the powerplay, but the Attack would take a 5-1 lead into the 3rd period at the Hershey Centre.

The Attack would add another in the third period when Kyle Hope netted his 2nd of the game past Spencer Martin, who replaced Tyson Teichmann.

That’s all the Attack would need as they skated away with a convincing 6-1 victory. Brandon Hope had an impressive showing in goal, stopping 32 of 33 shots for the win.

The Centennial Windows Three Stars of the Game were:

3) Dylan Smoskowitz 1G, -2

2) Kyle Hope 2G

1) Cameron Brace 3A

The Attack take four out of six points this weekend and sit one point behind the London Knights for the MidWest Lead, Western Conference Lead and first place in the entire OHL.
