Attack's Nastasiuk signs with Red Wings

DETROIT -- The Red Wings agreed to terms Friday with right wing Zach Nastasiuk on a three-year entry-level contract. In accordance with club policy, additional details will not be disclosed.

A native of Barrie, Ontario, Nastasiuk was recently named captain of the OHL’s Owen Sound Attack, where he stands second in team scoring with 18 points (8-10-18) in 16 games. Drafted by Detroit in the second round (48th overall) of the 2013 NHL draft, Nastasiuk has played 146 career games for the Attack, recording 77 points (39-38-77) and 55 penalty minutes. Last season, the 6-foot-2, 196-lb. forward recorded 40 points (20-20-40) in 62 regular-season games and a team-leading 11 points (4-7-11) in 12 postseason games.

Nastasiuk was one of 37 OHL players selected in the 2013 NHL Draft including one of 13 in the first two rounds.
