11/5/2009

Several Members of the Owen sound Attack Hockey Club made a visit to local Schools this week to visit with grade 4,5 and 6 students to get a very important "Anti-Bullying" message across.

Marcus Carroll, Garrett Wilson and Grant McGee, along with Mark Ostland, Branch Manager for Meridian Credit Union spoke in various classrooms regarding a number of very important topics pertaining to bullying.

Many youngsters in the Grey-Bruce area attend Owen Sound Attack games and it is very important for them to realize the difference between the aggressive nature that may occur at an Attack game or on TV from everyday schoolyard bullying. "Our players were kids once too. They know that bullying occurs on the schoolyard with regularity. As a community partner, we do our job to get our message to the kids in the area that bullying and violence needs to stop at school." said Attack Director of Marketing and Public Relations Brent Fisher

The Attack are slated to visit a number of different schools in the area in the coming weeks. For information on getting the Attack to your school, please following this link, http://www.attackhockey.com/appearances.asp .
